The majority of surveyed developers (52%) said they work for companies that use generative AI, while 36% personally utilize AI tools for game development.
30% of respondents believe generative AI is negatively impacting the video game industry, citing issues like IP theft, energy consumption, and AI biases.
The survey revealed significant differences in AI usage among age groups, where 28% of developers aged 18-34 use AI at work compared to 47% of those over 55.
The participation of women and non-binary developers in the industry reached 32%, representing a gradual increase from previous years, highlighting progress in diversity.
