Assistant Professor Jayarajah is researching a model of the Unitree Go2 dog to dynamically adapt based on user characteristics like introversions, pain levels, and other stimuli for improving interactions.
The project targets battling loneliness in the elderly, aiding in therapy, and rehabilitation by making the robotic dog 'come alive' through adaptive behavior based on wearable sensors detecting physiological and emotional stimuli.
The collaboration utilizes everyday wearable devices to extract wearers' brain activity and micro expressions, aiming to combine these with traditional robot sensors for a comprehensive understanding of user attributes.
