It's a big hire for the Redmond, Washington-based tech giant - Suleyman helped found DeepMind, a premier AI lab swallowed by Google, and then worked as a Google vice president for two years before jumping to co-found Inflection in 2022.
They're amassing the expensive supercomputing chips needed to train AI models, embedding AI in their popular products and giving top researchers massive compensation offers.
