From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
The climactic moment of "Zootopia 2" is one that wouldn't be out of place in a Nora Ephron script. Bunny cop Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and her fox partner Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman), having struggled to communicate and express their gratitude over the course of an entire film, take a break from the action to really say how they feel about each other.
I will be honest: Until Zootopia 2 insisted otherwise, I had not given a ton of thought to what it would look like if rabbit Judy Hopps and fox Nick Wilde were to procreate. I'm still not actually sure whether such a thing is supposed to be possible in the world of the Zootopia franchise, where anthropomorphic animals live together in imperfect harmony in a high-tech metropolis, commuting and eating out and engaging in corruption while remaining distinct species that each retain their own characteristic needs and behaviors.
An assortment of anthropomorphized animals has arrived at the Golden Arches. On Nov. 4, McDonald's released the new "Zootopia 2" Happy Meal ahead of the animated Disney movie's release on Nov. 26. For a limited time, customers can score one of eight unique rolling toys at participating locations with the purchase of a Happy Meal. The toys include our two leads, Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), in addition to some new faces from the world of the animated film.
The highly-anticipated sequel stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman as Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, rookie cops who are out to prove they make a good team. They get their chance when they come face-to-face with a viper named Gary De'Snake, voiced by Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan. Snakes haven't been seen in Zootopia in quite some time, so this meeting is a surprise.
