Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin hop back into a world of animated fun with sequel 'Zootopia 2'
"You've done just a voice part and then you see how it slots into something that is so complicated, so immense. I think they said 700 people were on this crew,"
"They become another layer of human study to then put into the character so, we're like amalgamations of multiple people. It's really cool!"
"I keep going through McDonald's drive-through because I want to get a Judy toy. I've gotten five Nicks. Five Nicks!"
Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin return as the voices of Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps in Zootopia 2, portraying partners in the Zootopia Police Department who set out to solve another major case. Bateman described voice work as a small but humbling part of a massive production involving roughly 700 crew members. Goodwin explained that animators act out scenes to the recordings and combine multiple human performances to shape the characters. Goodwin is collecting McDonald's Zootopia toys and has repeatedly received Nick figures while seeking a Judy toy. Zootopia 2 opens Nov. 26. The Walt Disney Company owns the affiliated ABC station.
