There is potential for a loan move away. West Ham do need 18 or 20 players in their squad, and he is still young. He is a good player, and I'm sure he'll play in all the cup games, but I'm not sure right now if he's at the level that Diouf is. Nuno would like to send him out on loan; it'll be good for his career to play in the Championship. Hopefully, he'll do very well.
With the WSL expanding to 14 teams in 2026-27, the bottom side will play the third-placed finisher in WSL2 for a top-flight spot next year. But that will be of little comfort for two teams who, despite their status and history, look ill-equipped for this campaign. While their records are similarly unimpressive, the reasons for their struggles differ. Two-time top-flight champions Liverpool's problems lie primarily in attack, while West Ham have defensive woes too.
Declan Rice scored against his former club and Bukayo Saka converted from the penalty spot as Arsenal comfortably dispatched West Ham to go top of the Premier League table prior to Liverpool's match later on Saturday. It wasn't all smooth sailing for the home side, however, with captain Martin Ødegaard forced off with an injury in the first-half for the third time this season.
The pressure on Graham Potter at West Ham United has reached boiling point after a dreadful start to the 202526 season. With just one win in their first five Premier League games and mounting frustration from fans, the club hierarchy are reportedly exploring alternative options. Among the frontrunners to replace him is Nuno Espirito Santo, with the Portuguese coach being sounded out as a possible successor, according to The Telegraph.
Many promises were made when West Ham moved to the London Stadium in 2016 but at no point did anyone say anything about constructing a team with an unrivalled inability to repel set pieces. There was, of course, that famous line from Karren Brady about delivering a a world-class stadium for a world-class team. That pledge has come to look a little overambitious, though, and at this point supporters would probably settle for some defenders who can head the ball away.
West Ham United and Everton are prepared to provide Yves Bissouma with an exit route out of Tottenham in January. The 29-year-old midfielder is unwanted at the north London club, and he needs to move on. He has been linked with clubs from Turkey and Saudi Arabia. However, the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winner has rejected the opportunity to join them, and he wants to remain in the Premier League. He has been frozen out at Tottenham since the arrival of Thomas Frank.
I will be, for sure, a player who is always putting the team above my personal goals. I think maybe people see me as a good person to be around, a good person to have in the team in terms of what I bring and so it's not only about me, it's about the team.
The FA started its investigation in August 2023 and the Brazil international was charged in May last year for allegedly getting booked deliberately "for the improper purpose of affecting the betting market". The four charges against him related to a Premier League game against Leicester City on 12 November 2022, as well as 2023 fixtures against Aston Villa on 12 March, Leeds United on 21 May and Bournemouth on 12 August.
West Ham United have signed of Brazil defender Igor Julio on a season-long loan from fellow Premier League club Brighton. The 27-year-old centre-back has made 37 league appearances for Brighton since joining from Fiorentina for 14.5m in 2023, but has been limited to just one Carabao Cup appearance this season. Crystal Palace had considered signing him earlier on deadline day as they looked to replace Liverpool-bound Marc Guehi, but the Eagles pulled the plug on that move when Igor opted to move to West Ham.
