Florida, having shed the weight of a coach forever on the hot seat, went to Oxford with sights set on an upset, pushing Ole Miss well into the fourth quarter.

For those MLS fans out there who want some stunning and surprising upsets, they'll have to wait just a bit longer in this year's playoffs. Watching the 49ers celebrate after stopping the Rams on a game-deciding fourth-and-1 run Thursday night, I simply couldn't form an explanation for how the Rams had managed to blow what should have been an easy victory over their injury-riddled division rivals. It felt like the Rams could have done whatever they wanted on offense, and a limping Mac Jones' only reliable target was Kendrick Bourne on the 49ers' side.

The fourth round of the League Cup has already served up some marvellous entertainment. Diego Gomez's long-drive-heavy four-goal haul; two fine assists for Federico Chiesa and the daftest of red cards for Hugo Ekitike; a first win of the season for Wolves; Lincoln forcing Chelsea to dig deep; third-tier Cardiff's win at Burnley.
