Wandsworth Bridge is closed due to a police incident. According to local eyewitnesses, the man has been on the bridge since 1pm. The bridge has since been blocked by police and emergency services. Police are currently attending the scene, alongside firefighters and ambulance workers
U.K. law now requires pornography websites to verify their users' ages through means such as face scans and driver's licenses; it also requires that online platforms prevent children from being exposed to adult content (which is why sites like Bluesky and Reddit have begun checking some users' ages). To study the law's effect, the Post says it examined the top 90 porn sites based on U.K. visitor data from Similarweb, finding 14 sites that still don't perform an age check.
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the N7 westbound at Rathcoole in Co Dublin. The collision, involving a number of vehicles, occurred at approximately 6.40pm this evening, Friday, August 22. The road is closed and westbound traffic is being diverted at Junction 2 (Kingswood). Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use the N81 and N4, where possible, re-joining the N7 at Kill/Johnstown.
