Delays on N7 following 'serious crash' involving multiple vehicles

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the N7 westbound at Rathcoole in County Dublin. The collision involved a number of vehicles and occurred at approximately 6.40pm on Friday, August 22. The road is closed and westbound traffic is being diverted at Junction 2 (Kingswood). Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and use the N81 and N4 where possible, re-joining the N7 at Kill/Johnstown. Gardaí say no further details are available at this time. Eyewitnesses reported an articulated lorry flipped onto its side outside the Applegreen Service Station at Rathcoole. It is not yet known whether anyone has been seriously injured.
