It's never too early to rock throwback uniforms, and the Minnesota Vikings will be the first team to do so in Week 2 of the new NFL season. Minnesota is wearing its "Vikings Classic" threads against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The look borrows design elements from some of the Vikings' earliest uniforms with a deeper purple than the modern version, larger numbers and classic stripes on the sleeves. There is also a vintage horn on the helmet.
The uniform's helmet features a matte yellow finish and a grey facemask inspired by Steelers uniforms from the 1930s and 1960s. The yellow lids will deviate from the black helmets that have been the norm for the team in recent years.
