Gather 'round, friends, for it is time to play my favorite newly invented game of the Winter Olympics. The game is called "Are The Fellas In Sync," and the way you play this game is by scrolling through Getty Images photos from Team Pursuit Speedskating and asking yourself a simple question: A re these three fellas (gender-neutral) before me truly, honestly, and existentially in sync? We'll start off with an easy round.

In their fifth and fourth Olympic appearances, respectively, Knight and Bowe return for their Olympic finales side by side hoping to put a golden flourish on their careers. Knight, 36, and Bowe, 37, have nine combined Olympic appearances and six Olympic medals. Bowe, who races in the women's 500 meters on Sunday, has Olympic bronze medals in the team pursuit and the 1,000 meters and holds the world record in her signature distance.

When you think about how many Winter Olympics we've had, I just thought it was really strange. I hope people can see my story and the stories of other Black women in winter sports and then, hopefully, we'll have more coming up soon.

If Goldilocks were a speedskater, hockey ice would be medium hard, for fast puck movement and sharp turns. Figure skating ice would be softer, allowing push off for jumps and so the ice doesn't shatter on landing. Curling ice is the softest and warmest of all, for controlled sliding. For speedskating ice to be just right, it must be hard, cold and clean. And very, very smooth.
