Speedskating phenom Jordan Stolz celebrates gold medal win with a big ol' slice of cake! - Queerty
"Jordan Stolz is serving some A-Grade American beef-and no, we're not talking about the steak dinners that his dad delivers to him in the Olympic village. The speedskating phenom is halfway to his goal of four gold medals at this year's Winter Games, winning both the 1,000 and 500 meter races last week in Milan. In two days, Stolz will take off in the 1,500, hoping to become the first man to capture three gold medals in speedskating since 1994."
"After Stolz raced to the finish this past weekend in the 500 (setting an Olympic record in the process), he enjoyed a victory lap with the American flag in hand. And quite the rump behind him..."
Jordan Stolz won the 1,000 and 500 meter speedskating races in Milan and set an Olympic record in the 500. He aims for four Olympic gold medals and will race the 1,500 meters to pursue a third gold, the first man to do so since 1994. Stolz celebrated with a victory lap carrying the American flag after narrowly edging Dutch skater Jenning de Boo for gold. Stolz's skintight bright blue Team USA suit and athletic physique have attracted attention. The 21-year-old Wisconsin native stands about 6'0" with shaggy blonde hair and eats pizza daily before training. At Beijing 2022 he placed 13th in the 500 and 14th in the 1,000; social restrictions then prevented his parents from watching in person.
