""I felt it in the beginning before the 1000m," Stolz said, about his first race February 11, "but it's something you just have to deal with and get out of your mind.""
""I've won so many [races]. It's not something where I don't know what to do," Stolz said."
""To have the timing right and do it at the Olympics, that's something that takes a lot of planning. And I think I did it well," he said."
Jordan Stolz, 21, finished second in the 1500m at the Milan Cortina Olympics, securing his third medal at these Games. He completed 3.75 laps in 1:42.75. That time would have broken the previous Olympic record but the mark had already been eclipsed twice: Zhongyan Ning posted 1:41.98 and earlier Joep Wennemars set a record minutes before. Kjeld Nuis earned bronze while Wennemars placed fourth. Stolz remains eligible to win three gold medals at one Winter Olympics with the mass start remaining. He acknowledged feeling pressure early in the Games but expressed confidence based on prior race wins and careful planning.
