Hartman was selected with Atlanta's 20th round pick in the 2024 draft, using the 611th overall selection on the outfielder from Holy Trinity Academy out of Alberta, Canada. He was given a signing bonus $337,500, which was understandably significantly higher than his slot value. What were the expectations in 2025? When it was announced the Braves had actually signed all 20 selections in their 2024 class - including Hartman - it came as a bit of a surprise.

1 month agoDavid Kampf's contract extension was Brad Treliving's worst mistake as Leafs' GM
Kampf, 30, is currently suspended from the team without pay, as the Maple Leafs sent him down to the minors. The veteran centre isn't having it and has no interest playing for the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies. Some NHL veterans take the move with a grain of salt, work hard, and try to force their way back into the NHL. Kampf decided he was going to cause quite the stink, after Treliving has spent the past few weeks trying to move the disgruntled forward.
