We're miles ahead. The board reckoned, if we could get there in five years, to the Premiership, that would be an achievement. We managed to do it quicker. A lot of hard work. Some good recruitment. Some good personalities in the dressing room. Some togetherness. Punching above our weight most of the time.
It is no surprise that Aberdeen have made major changes to their recruitment team again. Nuno de Almeida has left and Darren Mowbray has returned as head of recruitment. It was hardly the biggest surprise when the Dons announced the news on Tuesday night. Everybody knew the writing had been on the wall for de Almeida.
I just replayed my whole life - 16 years of pain and struggling in the closet - and I just thought to myself, 'What is the big deal?' I didn't have any social media at the time, just my private Facebook which had my football boys on it and I thought, 'Do you know what - I am just going to make a wee post.' I don't think anybody should be bothered where I sit, even if I sit on top of the roof of the stadium, it doesn't really matter, Pfannenstiel told BBC Scotland. Time is moving on and in other countries it is very normal. I don't think everything needs to be within the norm. If there is something new, Scottish football should not just think about how it was in the past. Why not look into new things?

A move to Motherwell followed in 1965, where he continued to find the back of the net regularly - 89 times in 198 appearances - and won the Second Division title.
A delayed deadline day for players to leave for the Africa Cup of Nations has implications for Celtic and Rangers, while Dundee United could lose a January transfer target to Olympiakos. A rule change by world governing body Fifa means Sebastian Tounekti of Tunisia, Michel-Ange Balikwisha from DR Congo and Kelechi Iheanacho from Nigeria will be available for Celtic's Premier Sports Cup final against St Mirren before being released to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations.
