According to GO Transit's website, several early morning trains between Kitchener Go and Union Station have been cancelled due to track repairs. It said an eastbound train will run from Acton Go from 8:45 a.m., making all stops to Union except at Etobicoke North GO, and another eastbound train will run from Mount Pleasant Go around 8:42 a.m.
A fault with the signalling system at Lewisham is causing disruption to services this morning, with trains running through the station subject to cancellations, delays or revisions until around 9am. The issue means services from Hither Green towards central London are currently unable to use platform 1 at Lewisham. As a result, trains heading towards central London from Sidcup and Sevenoaks are unable to call at Lewisham.

Toronto police are warning of traffic delays on the Gardiner Expressway due to a water main break early Monday morning. Around 4:15 a.m., a water main broke in the area of the Gardiner Expressway and Grand Avenue in Etobicoke, police said in a post on X. Police said they are assisting with traffic, with eastbound and westbound lanes reduced following the break. They said drivers should expect delays in the area and consider alternate routes.

Rail services were halted after a massive fire broke out on train tracks between Peckham and Bermondsey on Tuesday evening, causing travel chaos for Londoners. The fire broke out between Queen's Road Peckham and South Bermondsey railway stations. Three fire engines and approximately 15 firefighters were rushed to the scene, trains were stopped in both directions and power was cut. In videos shared to social media, the huge fire can be seen illuminating the night sky.
We were called at 10.15am on 24 February to reports of a road traffic collision in Old Kent Road, SE15. We sent three ambulance crews, two paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer to the scene. The first paramedic arrived in around seven minutes. We treated eight patients at the scene and took them to hospital.
A signal issue at Union Station is causing mass train delays Monday morning, GO Transit says. Crews are working on repairs, but there may be delays of up to two hours, according to a GO Transit online alert. All lines through Union Station are affected, and trains will be unable to travel through the station until the issue is resolved.
A preliminary investigation into the incident found the derailment happened because nine screws holding down rail fastenings on part of the track leading into Union Station gave way under fatigue, Metrolinx CEO Michael Lindsay said. These lag screws should be fastened by four screws in the plate. At this particular location they were fastened by two, he said, citing the latest track standards, updated in 2016.
Severe delays are expected on the M25 this afternoon following an earlier crash near the London commuter town of Brentwood. The crash happened at around 1.40pm just beyond Junction 28 (A12, Brentwood/Brook Street Roundabout), bringing the M25 anticlockwise to a standstill. Queues are stretching back to Junction 29 (Romford), and severe delays are expected. Emergency services have been contacted for comment about the earlier crash.
