In 2018, two years after D. Gordon Smith became dean of the J. Reuben Clark Law Schoolat Brigham Young University, he told an audience of law school advisors, "I want BYU to be known as, if not the most innovative law school in the country, then one of the most innovative law schools in the country."

Hard for me to believe it, but Saturday was the 20th anniversary of this blog, which I founded on Nov. 19, 2002, with  this introductory post.I actually started writing about this stuff even earlier, in 1995, when my fascination with the potential of the internet for lawyers prompted me to launch a syndicated column, Lawyers.online, starting with this inaugural installment, The Internet: A Revolution in Law Practice.

In a unique partnership between a law firm and a legal technology company, the immigration firm Siskind Susser and its technology affiliate Visalaw.Ai have entered into a collaboration agreement with the legal technology and publishing company Fastcase to develop what they say will be a state-of-the-art immigration case management and document automation platform.
