Poppy is a chameleon when it comes to genre, but lately, she's embedded herself with alt-metal royalty, collaborating with the likes of Amy Lee in the studio and with Linkin Park onstage. It would seem some of that hangtime has rubbed off on her, as she goes full metal on her latest single "Bruised Sky." Her right-hand studio collaborator, Jordan Fish, also brings his past work with Bring Me the Horizon to the table here, given the overall metalcore treatment of the production.

It's such an important occasion to mark. I actually umm'd and ahh'd a lot about wearing a poppy today because I find the pageantry that comes along with it sometimes a little bit nauseating. It becomes much more about a political show than it does about remembrance. The remembrance is the key thing, especially in a world where the far right is rising, racism is on the rise, xenophobia... it's really important to remember that that's what we were fighting against in World War II.

Poppy's Fall 2025 US tour kicks off on September 2nd in Worcester, MA, featuring MSPaint and Dying Wish as support artists.
