Mesa, 17, signed for $900,000 and was ranked 30th on the MLB Pipeline Top 50 International Prospects list. He has received some high praise from scouts who say he could wind up being the best hitter in the 2026 international free agent class. The left-handed hitter is someone who makes a lot of hard contact and could develop above average power.

Dominguez delivered league-average results at the plate in his first full season of MLB action. He was widely regarded as New York's top prospect before last season. Given his pedigree, Dominguez is likely overqualified as a fourth outfielder. Jones is probably due for a call-up after launching 35 home runs across Double-A and Triple-A last season, but adding him to the roster without a clear role could stunt his development.

The O's just finished up a disappointing 2025 season. After making the playoffs in the prior two campaigns, they fell to the basement of the American League East this year, finishing 75-87. Their lack of rotation depth was a big part of that but the lineup also wasn't great. The team hit a collective .235/.305/.394. The resultant 96 wRC+ was better than just nine clubs in the majors.

Jankowski has never been a regular in the majors. He played a career-high 131 games with the 2016 Padres but did so in a limited, part-time role.
