Kyle Tucker Predicted to Land With Dodgers or 2 Other Teams by Rival GMs
"All-Star slugger Kyle Tucker has been heavily linked to the Los Angeles Dodgers to address their issues in the outfield this offseason, but general managers across the league believe he could also land with the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, per Bob Nightengale. "Tucker, a native of Tampa, will sign with the Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays or Los Dodgers, GMs predict," Nightengale wrote."
"Tucker made the All-Star team in 2025 and won a Silver Slugger award despite playing through injury in the middle of the season. He hit 22 home runs and tallied 73 RBIs throughout the season, playing 136 games. He has made the last four All-Star Games, and had hit 20 or more homers every season since 2021 - reaching the 30 mark twice."
"The Dodgers have shown they're willing to spend on top free agents in the past, and Tucker is no different. Tucker, a natural right fielder, would likely take over his preferred position if the Dodgers signed him, and they'd move Teoscar Hernández back to left field, where he played in 2024. Tucker also has a serviceable glove in left, posting defensive numbers around league average in 2025 and winning a Gold Glove in 2022."
General managers across the league predict Kyle Tucker will sign with the Yankees, Blue Jays, or Dodgers. The Dodgers and Yankees both lost an outfielder to free agency, while the Blue Jays could use Tucker to replace Nathan Lukes in right field. Tucker earned All-Star honors and a Silver Slugger in 2025 while playing through injury, hitting 22 home runs with 73 RBIs over 136 games. He has made four straight All-Star teams and has hit at least 20 homers each season since 2021, including two 30-homer campaigns. Tucker provides roughly league-average defense in left and won a Gold Glove in 2022.
