Fred Warner is back at full strength for the 49ers' offseason training program after recovering from a season-ending ankle injury.
History also worked against the 49ers besides Maxx Crosby's exorbitant price, which the Raiders got in first-round draft picks the next two years from the Baltimore Ravens. The 49ers, from what I've researched, have never traded for a player from the Raiders, who did acquire Cedrick Hardman from the Niners' defensive line in 1980.
Just as Ben Johnson was definitely deserving of more than one vote for the NFL's Coach of the Year award. But that is a different discussion for another post. However, with that being said, the one no-doubt, slam-dunk award that was handed out at Thursday's NFL Honors ceremony was the league's Moment of the Year - which of course belonged to Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and wide receiver DJ Moore.
He's a surefire Hall of Famer who protects the franchise quarterback, and right now, he's got the front office by the throat. His agent is even playing games—why else do you think ESPN representative regurgitation machine Adam Schefter tweeted out that the Niners and Williams were in an impasse on Tuesday, roughly 90 minutes before Niners' general manager John Lynch spoke to the media at the NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis?
Christian McCaffrey went from a question mark to an exclamation point Thursday night when the 49ers' running back was named the NFL's Associated Press Comeback Player of the Year at honors night at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. The NFL's Offensive Player of the Year in 2023, McCaffery played just four games last season because of bilateral Achilles tendinitis and a PCL strain.
