The Los Angeles Dodgers concluded the 2026 Love L.A. Community Tour with three final events throughout the city Friday. The ninth stop of the Dodgers' annual community service week took place in Pico Rivera at El Rancho High School. Dodgers players Hyeseong Kim, Alex Call, Jack Dreyer, Landon Knack, Bobby Miller, Miguel Rojas, Tanner Scott, Brock Stewart, and Gavin Stone were all in attendance for the pep rally.
At least five people were taken to the hospital Sunday night after a car collided with an ambulance that was transporting an elderly patient in the San Fernando Valley. The Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance was struck by a black SUV around 8 p.m. on Woodman Avenue and Chase Street in Arleta, according to Jennifer Middleton, a spokesperson for the Fire Department.
A man fleeing police Thursday night ended up needing rescuing after authorities say he jumped a wall and fell down a hole at a construction site. Police officials said officers were chasing the 27-year-old man on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle when he abandoned the vehicle in Lincoln Heights. From there, the man ran onto a construction site near Sichel Street and Alhambra Avenue, where he jumped a wall and fell down a 30-foot hole, becoming trapped, KABC reported.
As many as 15 workers may be trapped underground following reports of an industrial tunnel collapse in Wilmington around 8 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.
