The 49ers, as first reported Friday by The Athletic, have voided the $25 million bonus guaranteed for 2026 in Aiyuk's contract, which was contentiously hashed out prior to last season (four years, $120 million). That move signals Aiyuk's potential ouster next spring, and while that mutual adjustment happened months ago, Aiyuk continues to report for morning conditioning sessions at the team facility, according to a team source.
Adebo was set to make his return after missing three games with a knee injury. He was not among the pregame inactives. But the decision was made after Adebo took the field in uniform an hour before the game. It left the Giants with Cor'Dale Flott, Deonte Banks and recently acquired Korie Black, Jarrick Bernard-Convers and Rico Payton as their healthy cornerbacks.
Man United are now unbeaten in their last five matches, although they will feel that they should have defeated Tottenham on Saturday, rather than had to have settled for a 2-2 draw in North London. Ruben Amorim's side had led 1-0 up until the 84th minute, but after conceding twice in quick succession, they found themselves 2-1 up, before a late Matthijs de Ligt strike ensured a share of the spoils.
After some checks on the sideline, Lattimore was ruled out for the remainder of the contest with a knee injury. He cut a dejected figure on the sidelines, getting embraced by his teammates and walking back to the locker room with a towel over his head. More information will be coming, but this doesn't exactly paint the most promising picture.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice spent one sunny afternoon in 2024 in his hometown of North Richland Hills, Texas, giving away several boxes of Domino's pizza and water bottles to anyone he came across. The gesture that day was captured on video, with Rice revealing his reasoning at the beginning of the 36-second clip he posted on his social media accounts. "Everybody gotta eat," Rice said, staring into the camera.
In the 82nd minute against Borussia Dortmund, Timo Hübers fell to the ground clutching his knee. The FC defender had to be brought off on a stretcher, with the pictures on TV heightening the early fears. After full-time, the 29-year-old was brought to the MediaPark Klinik in Köln via ambulance. On Sunday morning, he underwent an MRI scan which confirmed a severe knee injury.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter will be placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury during practice Thursday, coach Liam Coen told reporters. The move means Hunter will miss at the least the next four games of his rookie season, ruling him out until at least Week 13.
There was a very worrying moment just a couple of minutes into the second half as the Englishman dived into a tackle and seemed to extend his knee in a funny way, going down in a heap of pain. He managed to shake it off and play on, however later in the eventual 1-1 draw he had a similar lunge that did not look entirely comfortable, and now some further information has emerged.

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez withdrew from the Argentina squad during the latest international break with an apparent knee injury. The combative midfielder has played in every Premier League game so far for the Blues, and was an integral part of the group that won the Club World Cup in the summer. Fernandez, who signed for Chelsea from Benfica for 106.8m in 2023, has enjoyed a fruitful start to the 25/26 season - scoring three times and registering two assists so far.
Jones is playing with a heavy knee brace and is dealing with an oblique injury that happened late in a 26-21 win over the Los Angeles Rams a week earlier. It turns out Jones wound up not throwing at all. He wasn't able (to throw) today so he just focused on handoffs and stuff like that, coach Kyle Shanahan said on KNBR-680. Really tried to rest it up. Should be able to go on Sunday, but definitely wasn't good enough to go today. Hopefully that'll continue to improve. He was listed as a limited participant.
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Colts are scoring at a historic pace, but they might be forced to make some adjustments after a key injury in their 40-6 victory over the Raiders on Sunday. Kicker Spencer Shrader, who entered Week 5 leading the NFL with 13 made field goals, sustained a potentially serious knee injury when Raiders safety Tristin McCollum collided with him during an extra point attempt in the second quarter. McCollum was flagged for a personal foul for roughing the kicker.

He's started all four games to this point, playing opposite of Harold Landry as the Patriots' two primary edge rushers. Chaisson has also played 68.3 percent of the Patriots' defensive snaps, which is the seventh-highest among all the team's defenders, per Pro Football Reference.
"Just to be able to come back from an injury like I did, that in itself has proven to me how mentally strong I am," Barzal told Ethan Sears of the New York Post before the Islanders' preseason matchup with the Rangers at UBS Arena. "When it happened, when the injury happened, the boys were so gracious with me, just so there for me at all times. It's also a reason why I was able to rehab so well, 'cause I felt so much support for the boys."
Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento is set to be out for between six and eight weeks after suffering a knee injury in Sunday's defeat by Arsenal. Livramento was stretchered off the field after landing awkwardly in his side's 2-1 defeat at St James' Park.
