Joanna Gaines has officially gotten the Barbie treatment, joining the ranks of iconic women with their very own Barbie doll, like Venus Williams, Mariah Carey, and Stevie Nicks. Along with her doll, the interior designer is also getting her own dream house, a collaboration with Mattel and her Hearth & Hand with Magnolia line at Target. The doll and three-story playset - both of which Gaines helped to design - will both be available to purchase at Target, in stores and online.

To make the Middle Eastern hand pies, Gaines utilizes canned biscuits for the crust, which is a genius solution for those times when you really can't think about making your own dough. Canned biscuits not only have delicious flavor, but they're also conveniently pre-cut to the perfect size for fatayer. Gaines simply separates them and rolls them out into thin discs on a floured surface until they measure about five to six inches wide before adding her filling.

Gaines uses a garlic butter spread, especially when serving up a pasta dish, elevating store-bought sourdough bread into an impressive crowd-pleaser.

A key element that Joanna Gaines often incorporates into her kitchen designs is to bring the natural environment inside.

"We're mostly all homebodies. We love to be at home, but as our kids get older, I've learned what a gift it is to step away from the day-to-day with its schedules and rhythms and to-do's and have that intentional time as a family."
