There was t he mom group who organized a "walking school bus" to get children to school safely if their parents feared being targeted by ICE.
Leaders of a Catholic Church in Massachusetts have decided to keep a controversial Nativity scene that includes a message against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, despite criticism and an order from the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston to remove it. The Nativity scene at St. Susanna Parish in Dedham replaces the traditional figures of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph with a sign that reads, "ICE was here," suggesting that the Holy Family has been detained by immigration officials.
Asia Lozano Morton is charged with aiding her boyfriend, 43-year-old Richard Lund, in the killing of Calcagni outside his Santa Rosa home, after the pair were both allegedly fired from the strip club; she's been ordered by a Sonoma County judge to stay away from drugs, firearms, and Lund.
Millions of people on Saturday are expected to turn out both in the US and around the world for demonstrations against US President Donald Trump and the policies of his administration. Over 2,600 events are expected across all 50 US states. Events are also planned in European countries such as Spain, France and Germany, with a rally also expected as far as Melbourne, Australia.
A Toyota Sienna minivan was traveling southbound on Pope Valley Road in unincorporated Napa County, 12 miles north of St. Helena, when it crashed into a tree on the side of the road. The minivan had eight men in it, including the driver, 53-year-old Norberto Celerino of Stockton. Six of the passengers were killed and one was critically injured. Celerino, who did not have a valid driver's license, survived, and we learned a few days later that he had three previous DUI convictions.
