It has been three months since the ceasefire took hold in Gaza. In this time, Israel has predictably refused to comply with its obligations under the deal. It continues to block the negotiated amounts of aid into the Strip. Adequate food, medicine and temporary shelters are not reaching us. The Rafah crossing remains closed and those needing urgent medical evacuations still cannot leave. Israel also continues to bomb us, killing more than 400 people since October 10.
The Israeli military continues to demolish structures in northern Gaza while also blocking the entry of aid. The Israeli army has launched more attacks into parts of Gaza outside its direct military control, despite the ceasefire deal mediated by the United States in October. At least three Palestinians were killed on Sunday in separate Israeli attacks in Khan Younis, medical sources told Al Jazeera.
Other civilian convoys-including the Global Sumud Flotilla, on which Greta Thunberg was detained on 1 October by Israeli security forces-were designed to carry aid to Gaza, where, under sustained Israeli attack, at least 66,000 people have been killed and 640,000 suffer from what a United Nations-backed expert panel recently dubbed a "man-made" famine. Israel has blocked food and medical aid from entering Gaza, barred all foreign journalists, and killed 223 Palestinian journalists.
