Goldenvoice has announced its annual lineup of Coachella sideshows, "Goldenvoice Presents April," that have festival artists performing at various more intimate venues throughout Southern California in the days surrounding both weekends. Fred again.. announced on Dec. 1 that he'd perform at the Cow Palace on Dec. 5, and fans sprung into action like the teeny clip-on sprouts that the most ardent wear in their hair. Tickets sold out rapidly, leaving at least one Redditor wanting to trade their liver for a chance to get a handful. Similar electronic DJ-driven events at the venue have packed in 10,000-15,000 people.

Mayor Lurie took to Instagram to announce a series of late December SF concerts at places you wouldn't expect them, featuring Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia, and Fisher, between December 19-30. It was a lucrative and bustling summer of major SF concerts this year, with the Dead & Company shows that brought throngs of Deadheads to town, Outside Lands (which is always money in the bank), and the big free Shaboozey show at Civic Center that drew more than 20,000 people.
