Terry Yorath, former Leeds United and Wales midfielder, died aged 75 after a short illness.
Joshua Johnson, 18, was killed in a crash on Todwick Road in Rotherham on 13 December, alongside a 17-year-old girl. But South Yorkshire Police (SYP) initially identified Trevor Wynn, 17, as the boy who had died and police informed his family. Meanwhile, Mr Johnson was thought to be injured and under sedation in hospital. However, the force admitted it has now referred itself to the policing watchdog after information came to light, which led to further checks taking place.
"I am fundraising to help cover legal fees in the Dominican Republic in an effort to seek justice for my sister-in-law, Claire Cullen. Claire was tragically killed in a hit and run incident while on holiday to attend her brothers wedding. She died instantly, and the driver fled the scene without offering any help to Claire or her family," she wrote.
Minutes later, she checked her Instagram account out of inertia and was puzzled by the dozens of Dominican influencers and singers posting mourning and crying emojis and images of a terrible structural collapse at one of the Dominican Republic's most famous nightclubs, Jet Set, on that same night of April 8.
