Áine O'Reilly of Grove House, Pallasgreen, Co Limerick, died in a road traffic accident on February 13, 2026, while traveling to work. Tributes arrived from across the country and internationally, reflecting her roles as a nurse, daughter, sister and friend. She is mourned by parents Eugene and Ann, brothers Eoin, James and Conor, sister-in-law Aisling, nephew Dáire, and extended family and friends. A packed church attended her funeral where her brother Eoin delivered an emotional eulogy. He thanked emergency services, neighbours and those who offered quiet acts of kindness, and he urged that the funeral be both a time to mourn and a celebration of her life.
