Reese is a 6'9″ forward who mainly plays under the basket and uses him length and size to aid him on the defensive end. He was a four-year player at Maryland and saw steady improvement to his game during his time there. In his final season at Maryland he posted averages of 13.3 points per game, 9 rebounds per game, as well as 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 55.5 percent from the field.
The 27-year-old, 6-foot-11 big man, who went undrafted in 2022 out of Louisville, got his first real experience with an NBA main roster when he signed with Toronto in late April 2024. He initially signed a 10-day contract with the Raptors, then ended up signing for the rest of the season to finish out the 2023-24 campaign. Before that, he spent some time with the Miami Heat's G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Achiuwa, who turned 26-years-old on Sept. 19, is a familiar face to the organization. Miami drafted the 6-foot-8 big No. 20 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. He only played one season before getting traded to the Toronto Raptors in the Kyle Lowry sign-and-trade. Last season with the New York Knicks, Achiuwa averaged 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds across 20.5 minutes per game. He played in 57 of the team's 82 games, starting 10 of them.
On Aug 22, the Raptors 905 traded their 2026 first-round NBA G League draft pick to the College Park Skyhawks in exchange for Joiner's rights. A potential waiving of Joiner could also occur, similar to Guerrier and Key's situations in recent days. The purpose of this move would be to give Joiner a roughly $80,000 bonus to join the Raptors 905, presumably.
