Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has welcomed recent sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union against Russia, calling them an important step in pressuring Moscow. US President Donald Trump had earlier announced the increase to pressure buyers of Russian fossil fuels, a major source of revenue for Moscow.
