A coroner has warned that there is no safe quantity of cocaine that can be consumed following the death of a young Dublin man two years ago from an overdose of the drug. A sitting of Dublin District Coroner's Court heard that Wayne Hegarty (20) was found dead in the attic of his home at Foxhill Avenue, Donaghmede, Dublin 13 on December 17, 2023.

Gary Wade, 56, was found dead from an overdose in his Ilford flat on May 15, as revealed during an inquest at East London Coroner's Court.

Police were called at 6.10pm on Saturday 5 July 2025 to an address in Dunlop Close, Dartford. Officers attended alongside paramedics, where a man was confirmed to be deceased. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

Toxicology tests revealed that Daiva Antanaviciene had a blood alcohol level of 412 mg/100 ml, far exceeding lethal limits, which indicated her severe alcohol dependence.

A body has been found during a search for a missing woman, sparking police investigations to determine the cause of death and identifying the individual.
