Upminster baby dies in tragic accident on Caribbean holiday
Briefly

Seven-month-old Tommy Taylor-Mclean tragically died after falling from a bed while on holiday in St Lucia. Despite initial indications of recovery, he was pronounced dead in a hospital on April 2. An inquest has been opened, with Senior Coroner Graeme Irvine seeking evidence from St Lucia through diplomatic channels. His parents created an online fundraising page to honor him, emphasizing his joyfulness and the impact he had in his short life, with over £12,600 raised for the hospital that treated him.
We are totally lost without him, but take comfort in knowing the number of lives he touched in the short time he was with us.
Coroners in England and Wales have legal powers to require evidence from persons and organisations. Regrettably, those powers cease at the borders of England and Wales.
