He struck children and worshippers that were inside the building. The shooter was armed with a rifle, a shotgun and a pistol. This was a deliberate act of violence against innocent children and other people worshipping.

Kentucky State Police reported that a suspect shot a trooper in Fayette County around 11:30 a.m. and then fled to Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, resulting in multiple victims.
