The free outdoor movies in the park series Sundown Cinema announced its 2023 movie schedule, starting with arguably the greatest SF horror movie ever, the 1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers on June 8.Other films include Top Gun: Maverick (June 30), Moana (July 21), sing-along Mamma Mia (August 18) Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (September 8) Legally Blonde (September 29), and Ghostbusters (October 20).

Last year at this time I was in cinematic heaven.was one of the finest films that I had seen in a long time, and the movie was up for Oscar gold.It is so rare that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and I agree on anything, but this time last year they got it right.Coda is a powerful musical drama concerning a deaf family and their hearing daughter.

On Febuary 16, 2018, rocked the Marvel Cinematic Universe and dominated the box office.A refreshing take in a crowded genre, Black Panther was a movie about tradition and science, a fantastic adventure located at the intersection of the past and the future.It showcased an Afro-futurist society steeped in history and imagination, centered on the classic tale of a king reclaiming his throne from an evil usurper.

A lot rests on each movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has more pressure on it than most.The movie, which hit theaters on November 10, 2022, needed to move the larger story of the MCU forward, as all films do, introduce new heroes like Riri Williams, set up a major villain in Namor, bring audiences back to Wakanda, and be a worthy follow-up to Black Panther - a critically and commercially lauded film that was a breakthrough in representation and earned a Best Picture nomination.
