Marvel’s Cinematic Universe operates like an expansive TV show, where characters and storylines intertwine across films and series. This was exemplified in the development of Ironheart during the filming of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. While director Ryan Coogler shot the latter, the Ironheart team simultaneously prepared their series, relying on evolving scripts and close collaboration to ensure continuity. The film serves as both a farewell to Chadwick Boseman and a transition to new characters, laying the groundwork for Ironheart’s debut as a successor to Iron Man.
Wakanda was shooting while we were in prep. There's a lot we didn't know. We had some access to the script, but that's always an evolving thing.
Ryan and I tried to be in five places at once. It’s a collaborative effort to ensure narratives align across projects.
