Bournemouth midfielder Ben Winterburn has joined League Two side Barnet on a season-long loan. The 20-year-old has made seven appearances for the Cherries and came off the bench in their opening-night defeat at Liverpool in the Premier League. Winterburn made his debut for Bournemouth in a 2-2 draw at Fulham in December. Both his starts came in last season's FA Cup, in Bournemouth's 5-1 win over West Bromwich Albion and their 2-0 victory at Everton in the fourth round.

Barnet have signed goalkeeper Cieran Slicker on a season-long loan from Ipswich Town. The 22-year-old won his first senior Scotland cap against Iceland this year.

"The last four months of the season couldn't have gone any better, so to come back and it properly in the league now it's really good."

"There was quite a bit of interest from Dean [Brennan, Barnet manager] and the staff here early in the summer," High told the club's website. "I thought Dean and the staff showed quite a lot of love towards me, so it was a no-brainer in the end."
