Barnet FC has officially announced the signing of midfielder Scott High, who joins following his release from Huddersfield Town. At 24, High has played 50 matches for the Terriers, although he spent recent seasons on loan at Dundalk and Halifax Town. His signing comes in a wave of new players, signaling Barnet's ambitions for the upcoming League Two season. High expressed gratitude towards the Barnet management for their early interest and hopes to contribute significantly as they strive for improved positioning in the league.
"There was quite a bit of interest from Dean [Brennan, Barnet manager] and the staff here early in the summer," High told the club's website. "I thought Dean and the staff showed quite a lot of love towards me, so it was a no-brainer in the end."
"The league's very tough but the squad that the gaffer's putting together looks really challenging, so hopefully we can do the best we can and push up that table."
