Columbus Crew have granted permission for head coach Wilfried Nancy to speak to Celtic over their managerial vacancy, with the Scottish champions having already held talks with his representatives and believing he is open to a switch to Glasgow. It's a strange link, I think, he only arrived at Celtic on deadline there when he joined from Hammarby. It would be a massive surprise if Celtic were even considering letting him go so early into his Celtic career as well. I don't think Celtic will be open to letting the Tunisian international leave, and I don't think they'd be doing themselves any favours with the fans.

I will be surprised if it was to happen anytime soon. It could happen in the future, there's no doubt about that. There are strong links between John McGinn and Celtic. I think his granddad was Celtic chairman at one point as well. Got to remember, he came very close to moving to Celtic before he joined Villa in 2018.

Reported Celtic target Louis Munteanu's asking price has been significantly reduced, it has been claimed, while Dundee head coach Steven Pressley is already planning January signings. Motherwell have signed "comfortable and reliable" centre-half Stephen Welsh on a season-long loan from Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic. The 25-year-old has played 68 games for Celtic since coming through the Scottish champions' youth system but has not featured this season for Brendan Rodgers' side. He spent the second half of last season on loan to Mechelen as they finished eighth in the Belgian Pro League, playing 17 games, starting all but two of them.
