8BitDo just revealed a new gamepad at CES and it's a doozy. The Ultimate 3E Controller for XBox is a modular marvel that should suit just about any configuration preference. That's because many elements are swappable. There are two different button modules, each with a different feel when pressing down. There are several joystick options, including standard, tall and thick-neck designs. The controller even ships with a pair of D-pad options. One is intended for precision and the other for "smooth, directional rolls."

Exactly 40 years ago today, the Nintendo Entertainment System hit store shelves in New York City. The October 18, 1985 launch of the NES in the US revitalized home console gaming in North America. To commemorate the console's pivotal role in gaming history, 8BitDo is releasing a new collection of NES-inspired gear over the next few months. The NES40 Collection features three products: a limited-edition Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller bundle, a compact wireless gaming speaker, and an ultra-premium 68-key mechanical keyboard made of aluminum alloy.

I'm embarrassed to say how many 8BitDo controllers I own, but it still will never be enough for me. 8BitDo is predominantly known for its excellent gamepads of all shapes and sizes, but it makes other accessories too, including a charging dock for the Xbox Wireless Controller that is currently 20 percent off. Right now you can grab the officially licensed dock for $20, down from its regular price of $25. 8BitDo's charging dock is compatible with the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One variants of the Xbox Wireless Controller and uses magnetic contact charging to juice up your pad.

The 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller will be released on July 30, designed for use with PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android, offering a wireless gaming experience.

The 8BitDo Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad retains the form factor of the Pro 2 while implementing enhanced features from the Ultimate 2 Bluetooth controller.
