8BitDo announced the FlipPad, a flip-style gamepad that connects to smartphones via USB-C and supports iOS and Android. The FlipPad will be officially supported by Apple and is scheduled for release Summer 2026. The controller features a Nintendo-inspired layout with a classic left D-pad and 12 face buttons, including a four-button modern controller layout, making it suited to retro games and emulators. 8BitDo already sells the Xbox-licensed Ultimate Mobile controller with Hall Effect sticks, face buttons, a retro-style D-pad, contoured handles, and software customization. The Ultimate Mobile fits phones 100–170mm and is priced around $46–$50.
