Situated in the Matogata district of Hyogo Prefecture, this three-story residence deftly combines reinforced concrete on the first floor with wood and steel on the second and third floors. The design harmonizes with the local landscape, ensuring it complements the area's historical ambiance, characterized by commerce and salt fields. Surrounded by a shrine and a small mountain, it offers beautiful views of the Seto Inland Sea and the inlet, reflecting the architects' aim for a discreet yet functional structure that enhances rather than overshadows its environment.
