uniform red brick facade wraps cornerstone housing unit by LKSA in korea
Briefly

BLDG.B, designed by LKSA, is a mixed-use property strategically located in a site development district, optimizing its corner position. The building features commercial spaces on the ground floor, residential units above, and the client's residence in the attic. The architectural composition utilizes a mix of red brick and granite, introducing contrast and texture, particularly in the façades. The innovative approach showcases polygonal forms and sharp edges, emphasizing geometric articulation and balancing spatial functions against a warm material backdrop, creating a dynamic and cohesive living environment.
The combination of red brick and granite was designed to establish both stability and variation in texture and materiality.
LKSA's architectural team follows this approach to emphasize geometric articulation, giving the structure a distinct spatial identity.
