Daipu Architects revitalizes the courtyard of Caijiapo village with the Streaming Light Exhibition Hall for the GuanZhong Mangba Art Festival. This new cultural venue, constructed beside an old kitchen, cleverly integrates a rainwater management system within its design language. A perforated metal roof, reminiscent of local housing, provides an undulating facade that obscures the old structures while also channeling rainwater to hidden drainage. This lightweight, prefabricated structure enhances the area's artistic atmosphere and responds to environmental challenges, transforming the space year-round.
Daipu Architects' Streaming Light Exhibition Hall blends art and function, utilizing a perforated steel structure that addresses flooding while enhancing the aesthetic experience of the Caijiapo village.
The design features a wave-shaped roof honoring local architecture, and incorporates a rainwater management system into the structure, maintaining usability during heavy rains.
