ROKUSHO Restaurant / Inrestudio
Briefly

ROKUSHO, located in Ho Chi Minh City, has been transformed from an uninspired space into an izakaya with a distinctive design featuring concrete masses. These elements create a unique spatial dynamic across the 22.5-meter wide and 7.3-meter deep space while also serving as a historical reference point for any future renovations. The storefront includes a concrete parapet that doubles as outdoor seating, integrating the exterior with the interior. The design also features floating roofs and carefully placed lighting that enhances the atmosphere, promoting both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
ROKUSHO's design uniquely combines cast-in-place concrete masses with floating roofs, transforming an ordinary space into a dynamic izakaya that balances indoor and outdoor experiences.
The concrete parapet wall not only defines the storefront boundary but also integrates seating, creating a seamless transition between the public street and private dining environment.
