MVRDV and Zecc Architecten to Transform Vacant Church into Public Swimming Pool in Heerlen, the Netherlands

MVRDV and Zecc Architecten have been awarded the project to convert the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Heerlen into a public swimming pool, named Holy Water. This adaptive reuse aims to maintain the building's historical significance while introducing new social functions following the cessation of church services in 2023.
