Jean-Philippe Demeyer, an AD100 designer, successfully transformed a former shepherd's home into a vibrant space using a design theme inspired by Ralph Lauren's Double RL brand. Collaborating with client Francis Coussens, Demeyer navigates chaotic renovations by establishing a clear theme, which enables him to maintain harmony throughout the project. The home, located in Belgium's Flanders Fields, showcases Demeyer's ability to blend rich colors and artisanal craftsmanship while drawing from American Western wear aesthetics, resulting in a layered, visually striking interior.
“My design process always comes down to three words: Chaos, creation, and harmony. Once the theme is known, it gives structure and limits possibilities.”
“For every situation, I find something in Ralph Lauren—Classic. Casual. Simple. Elegant. At this moment in life, I'm more attracted to Double RL.”
