This architectural project, situated in the Bolognese Apennines, replaces a 1970s structure with a design that respects local tradition while embracing contemporary styles. With strict regulatory and topographical constraints, the architect created a minimalist geometric form featuring a reinterpretation of the classic pitched roof, distinguished by its black exterior. A separate garage, connected by a portico, incorporates climbing plants that soften the visual impact. Sustainable construction methods were prioritized, utilizing X-LAM walls and wood floors to enhance the building's adaptability within its landscape backdrop.
The house seamlessly integrates with its agricultural surroundings, using contemporary architectural language to honor traditional techniques while ensuring sustainability through innovative construction methods.
A monochromatic black envelope allows the home to blend with the natural landscape, creating a modern interpretation of the traditional Apennine house without compromising its connection to the region.
