Long summer days in Denmark remind me of Devon
Briefly

Henri is here to convalesce in her summerhouse home from home. We grow and garden at a different speed. Planting mostly trees, old-school apple tree, currant bushes, apple tree for birds and mother's favorite jam. Spend days working outside, occasional weeding and reading.
The garden is described as a meadow left to its own devices, with native varieties swaying, an occasional trim. The writer follows a natural timetable, waking to bird calls, using a Merlin identifier app. Memories of a Devon childhood, foster father reclaiming fields, and summers spent outdoors.
