An Australian couple's long-awaited trip to Venice became a traumatic experience after they were required to sit next to a deceased passenger for the final four hours of a 14-hour flight from Melbourne to Doha. After a female passenger collapsed mid-flight, crew members attempted to save her but ultimately failed. The couple was offered no airline support after the incident. Qatar Airways later communicated with them to address their concerns over the unsettling experience, particularly for those seated beside the body.
Mitchell Ring described the experience as heartbreaking, stating, "They did everything they could, but unfortunately the lady couldn't be saved, which was pretty heartbreaking to watch."
